Customer Solutions Architect: An exceptional opportunity to join the Consultancy division of a major IT Solutions and Services provider. The successful Customer Solutions Architect will be responsible for large-scale cross technology and multi-million pound managed services transformation engagements. The Customer Solutions Architect role is very customer-facing, can be based anywhere in the UK (eg. London, Hertfordshire, Reading, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh) and involves a lot of travel.Package: £80-100k + car + bonus + benefits.Location: Can report to a regional office in one of the major cities in the UK.
Key responsibilities of the Customer Solutions Architect:
Provide leadership and architectural input to transformation sales opportunities / bids and specific strategy consulting to individual customers. # Identify and analyse requirements, develop suitable architectures and lead a virtual team including company and Partner Consultants.# Be accountable for translating customer business requirements into suitable service and technical solutions.# Provide assistance to sales specialists and client directors by helping identify and qualify solution opportunities including bid support as required.# Perform and manage risk analysis of opportunities.# Attend bid review meetings.# Own and manage contributions within Tender documentation Requests For Quote, Requests For Purchase, especially high-risk/large-scale and involve multi-technologies.# Own the solutions for multiple large transformation or integration projects simultaneously.# Provide accurate estimates and plans for the successful delivery of solutions.# Contribute to the Corporate strategy by suggesting new service capabilities, in particular bringing together services across contracted services and solutions.# Seek to contribute to enhancement of market perception by contributing to marketing activities such as writing white papers, media articles and briefing papers, perform presentations and interviews for external audiences.# Be aware of emerging and current issues and trends around various solution and business areas.# Mentor Sales, Projects, Service Delivery and Consultancy staff.Key requirements for the Customer Solutions Architect:# Track record of leading solution architecture for large bids (£10 25 million or more).# Experience at Architect or CTO level or equivalent.# Knowledge and experience in designing and implementing solutions comprising multiple technologies and business applications (eg. Windows, Unix, VMWare, Data Centre, Networks, Software, Database, SAM).# Excellent negotiating skills and very strong commercial skills. # Ability to present to a large (more than 30) external audiences, both business and technical, ability to present at board level. # Ability to produce conceptual designs for multi technology solutions.# Ability to develop business cases involving complex ROI/TCO/Business benefit analysis.# Good people management, leadership, demonstrable time management skills and organisational skills, ability to lead large virtual teams.# Proven ability producing documentation for a business and technical audience. # Must be credible in communicating around technical issues / solutions.# Energy, dynamism, and cross technology evangelism.

Greatly reduced as a result of using cold ground water instead of refrigeration to air condition the building. Saving use of mains water, the water is extracted through two bore holes from the water table beneath London and is used to cool the building and is then used for flushing the toilets.
